Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Smart Watch in China today. Since the launch, a lot of speculations are being surfaced about Mi Watch looks exactly like Apple Watch with a rectangular dial.
The much-anticipated Mi Watch has now been officially launched. The Xiaomi launched the Smart Watch in Beijing, China today at an event. The same event also witnessed the launch of Mi TV 5 series, Mi TV 5 Pro series and Mi CC9 Pro. Mi Watch is the Xiaomi’s first time ever to launch a smartwatch. Price starting at 1299 Yuan that roughly translates to Rs 13,000.
Xiaomi has launched two variants at the event. Where the top-end model of the watch called the Xiaomi Watch Privilege Edition sports with a four-curved sapphire glass, a high-gloss stainless steel body, a stainless-steel chain strap and a ceramic back cover.
The basic model of the Mi Watch has the starting price of 1299 Yuan which can roughly cost Rs 13,000 in Indian market. The top-end version whereas, will cost you for 1999 Yuan that approximately translates to Rs 20,000.
With well equipped features, the watch sports a 1.78-inch AMOLED screen that offers 326 PPI. The Battery offers a 570mAh capacity and Xiaomi claims it last much longer than expected in single charge. The smartwatch also comes with features like — GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The screen is specially designed and expected to be bright enough for all lighting satiations – good and not-so-good.
Mi watch sports a rectangular wide screen. The rectangular dial with a bigger or wider space lets users read emails or WhatsApp messages clearly. The company also believes that a rectangular display smartwatch is better and user-friendly at navigation. Xiaomi says that with a rectangular dial the screen of the watch offers great navigation experience to the users.
From the health and fitness perspective, you get the blood pressure monitor, sleep tracker, heart rate tracker and body energy monitor. The Mi Watch can be worn while going for a swim as it has water resistance capabilities.
“Mi Watch Chinese model comes with MIUI for watch software while the global variant comes with Google’s WearOS platform” confirms the company at the launching event.
